Women more hopeful
In this week's Time magazine there is a long articlee on Women and the midlife crisis.
An interesting fact is that while we know that women outlive men, women at middle age are twice as likely to be hopeful about the future. So there are a lot of men outthere that are not very hopeful about the future.... I know a lot of them.
The big question seems to be... "how are they going to spend the second half of their lives"
Stop me if this is sounding familiar!
Clearly there is a huge need for people to have a guide and a process to help them get through this period. There are several great first person accounts of people who made a successful transition but in most cases it seems pretty serindipidous. A lot of "had an epiphany in the bush" type stories.
If you want the article and can't get it I can send it to you by fax.
